What a joy music can be to people of all ages. Whether you or your children play an instrument or you just listen to music while doing other things, the simple pleasure of music can add a rich layer of enjoyment to your day, or your life!
I’m fascinated by all the research out there about how music affects our brains. Studies have shown that listening to music before studying or performing a task can be beneficial as it improves attention, memory, and even your ability to do mental math as well as helping lessen depression and anxiety.
According to CNN, studies suggest music may have powerful medicinal uses. There’s also evidence that music can affect immunity, and may be linked to higher counts of cells that fight germs and bacteria.
You may have even come across some of the discussion out there about how understanding music and math are linked cognitively.
On top of all this good scientific knowledge, chances are music just makes you feel good, and makes you tap your toes! If this is the case, art that’s about music can make us feel good too. Check out some of our great original artwork that focuses on music on Zatista.com.
