The Sketchbook Project Tour

One of my favorite interactive art projects, The Sketchbook Project, will be starting its annual tour in March. According to the creators of the project, “The Sketchbook Project is a global, crowd-sourced art project and interactive, traveling exhibition of handmade books. Our mission is to allow anyone to be able to participate in art and to create a collection of work that represents the current state of artists worldwide. We travel the continent with sketchbooks from artists all over the world. The best part is, anyone can join!”

Wanna participate? Anyone, from anywhere is welcome to participate in The Sketchbook Project. Sign up, get a book and send it back. The deadline to be part of this year’s tour has passed, but get on board for next year by signing up before January 2015.

Educational discounts. Schools from Kansas to Sudan participate in the project. Get your class signed up today!

Three Libraries. Find out more info about Brooklyn Art LibraryMobile Library, and The Digital Library.

Creating projects, and communities. There are projects for everyone! Check out the possibilities.

Appearing around the country through October, The Sketchbook Project Mobile Library will be making stops across the United States and Canada on its annual, epic adventure to share sketchbooks with communities far and wide. If you love art (and we know you do!), creative ideas, or want to participate, get out there and experience this very accessible art form.

I’m happy to say I’m one of the Sketchbook Project participants with a Zatista shop also! It was fun to do and exciting knowing that my sketchbook will now be traveling across the country reaching people far and wide! Much like Zatista! Thanks for this post!
