Artist Statement:
While pursuing a degree in Advertising Illustration, I was introduced to the centuries-old Chinese art form known as the India ink wash. India ink is a mixture of fine soot mixed with a liquid binding agent. It is an incredibly unpredictable, spontaneous and breathtaking medium.
The finest granulated watercolor pigments duplicate many of the ethereal qualities of India ink.
My art is never repetitious and predictable, neither in subject or style.
The galleries and private collections displaying my work are as varied as the images.

Professional/Teaching Experience:
I am hopelessly out of touch with what direction art departments are going in these days. Students are laying down their brushes and learning how to paint with a mouse and paint box. How can they do that ?!
Even Jackson Pollack would have a hard time painting with a mouse: " Dude, I can see that the nose is in the wrong place, but the tail kept getting in the way !
Lets keep it real .
