Artist Statement:
Lisa is an award-winning artist, working from her studio in the San Francisco Bay, and has a 12-year international reputation exhibiting in major galleries in the USA
As a professional artist, her vision with her art is clear; To share her gift, and spread joy with her happy paintings.
Lisa’s pieces are uplifting, colorful and highly textured palette knife oil paintings, mostly inspired by nature. Hundreds of her pieces hang with private and corporate collectors worldwide. When one of her collectors tells her that their painting lifts their heart every time they walk in their door, it touches her heart, and inspires her too.
Lisa combines her passion for her childhood homeland New Zealand, and her love of the diversity of California, to create colorful and mesmerizing oil paintings in a unique and intriguing contemporary style she calls Deep Impasto.
It takes a very talented and accomplished artist to use a painting or palette knife. This technique is unique, as the paint is applied very thickly, adding textured highlights with a beautiful sense of light and movement. Combined with this is Lisa’s outstanding ability to capture with her knife the incredible detail and personal elements that will resonate with your subconscious, and transport you into her colorful world of visual transcendence.
