Artist Statement:
Hi! My name is Izzy and I'm a multimedia artist with an emphasis on hyperrealism paintings. I was born and raised in Chicago where I currently spend half of my time, and the other half is spent in West Palm Beach, Florida. With over fifteen years of experience in the world of art, I found my passion at the age of seven after receiving a fine artist award for a realism painting. In the years following, my craft has evolved from abstract, fluid art paintings to realistic graphite and charcoal drawings. Now at twenty five, my main focus and most well known work is based in hyperrealism; the art of creating a painting that is essentially indistinguishable from a given photograph. This process allows each piece to take on an exaggerated sense of reality, or as many clients claim, to "look more real than the original photograph."
Painting is my meditation; it almost feels unfair to refer to it as "work". From a very early age I knew I wanted to do something that inspires me daily; a profession that is a passion, and I have found that through art. I feel the most present when I am working on a painting and once I'm "in the zone", there's nothing that can break my focus. My main objective for those viewing my work is to not only convey the amount of forethought and meticulous detail I pour into each and every piece I create, but also to emphasize colors and the slight changes that, although not apparent to the naked eye, make all the difference.

Education:
Self-taught. I've been creating different forms of art my entire life, but as far as hyperrealism paintings go, I've spent the past five years teaching myself and learning through many different avenues, mainly through my own trail and error. Although frustrating, it's the most rewarding part of my artistic process because once I "get it", it becomes second nature for me.
Artistic Influences:
Salvador DalĂ and Andy Warhol
... and the entire world!!! Each time I step outside I'm overwhelmed by the colors and vibrancy of everyday life.
