Artist Statement:
I am a sculptor and painter in Southern California.
I paint landscapes because I am interested in composition and color. These paintings give me an opportunity to refine my skills in these areas.
At their most basic, my paintings are playing between chaos and intention. My grounds are abstract, colorful and pretty. My paintings are drawn and painted as accurately as I can. I really work to match colors I see in life. Somewhere in between, where these two methods meet, is where my paintings are born.
Every day I pack up my gear and go, trying to add my little part to the sum total of beauty in this world.
There are two times a day when the world is at its most beautiful: at dawn and at sunset.
The least I can do is be present.
