Only a few more weeks of winter before spring bursts onto the scene. Today, the weather forecast says a storm is approaching – and by storm that means rain.
It could be worse. We are lucky here in the south that we never really have ‘bad’ weather.
As the storm approaches, we are having lots of wind. Big, hearty gusts of wind! Call me crazy, but there is something captivating to me about this time of year. The basic scenery is somewhat bleak where I am – no leaves on the trees, lots of gray skies and not many flowers.
I suppose it’s the quiet and calm of this time of year interests me. In a world where we are always moving and trying to accomplish something, slowness captures my attention.
In art, this bleakness may appeal to some but not others. Here are some images that match my mood, these lasts weeks of winter.
As usual, Zatista’s gallery has many images that match my mood. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
